Permits and Forms

Click the links below for online forms to complete, scan and email to planningtech@jasperindiana.gov. Attach additional documents as required. Applicable fees can be found on the Building and Construction page. All fees are payable at time of permit approval. Department staff will coordinate processing of permit fees upon approval. Questions can be directed to staff at 812.482.4255.

For Zoning Map questions, view the City of Jasper's Zoning Map.

For Setback and Design Development questions, review the City of Jasper's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). For Signage questions, please refer to Chapter 8 of the UDO. Please note that the UDO is updated annually and some updates may not be reflected in the online version.

Review Time

The Community Development & Planning Department requires seven (7) business days after ALL required forms and drawings have been submitted to review permit applications. Please allow the necessary time when scheduling your project.


Upon successful review of all project issues, the Department will issue a permit for the work with the appropriate job-site placards. Work on the project may not begin until the approval has been granted.






Mobile Food Vendors

The recently approved Mobile Food Vendors ordinance for the City of Jasper will go into effect on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019.  For those interested in being a vendor, a few steps need to take place before setting up. Vendors will need to obtain a mobile food permit from the Dubois County Health Department and the City of Jasper. You can obtain the application from each entity’s website.
