The City of Jasper and its contractor are preparing to start Phase II of the Downtown Revitalization Project. This Project will have new underground infrastructure, new sidewalks throughout the project, and curb ramps at the intersections for improved walkability in the Downtown Area. Pedestrian and vehicle construction signs will start to be placed the week of August 26th. Demolition and construction is scheduled to begin the week of September 3rd. As part of the construction Main Street from Third Street to Fifth Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic for approximately 12 weeks as the work is being completed.
