Downtown Revitalization Project - Phase II

Project Update as of 6.25.2025

A construction meeting regarding the Downtown Revitalization Phase II Project was held on June 25th with representatives of Ragle Construction, REA, VS Engineering, and City of Jasper.

Here is a summary of the discussion:

NORTH MAIN – 7^th to 9^th Street

• Construction will continue between 7th & 9th St.  Both blocks are anticipated to be closed for most of the duration of repair.
• Week of June 25th^th – Form and Pour concrete for the 8^th street intersections, planters, and street flatwork.
• Week of June 30^th – Continue street flatwork.

SOUTH MAIN – 4^th to 5^th Street

• Week of June 30^th –  Crews will need to temporarily block off road parking to allow the installation of permanent tent anchor points for the Strassenfest tents.  Crews will try to complete in one day, but part of a second may be needed pending weather.
• Scheduling is dependent on weather and materials.

Accessibility to all building entrances will be maintained for foot traffic throughout the project. German American Bank’s drive thru remains open at this time.

Meetings with contractor representatives are held bi-weekly once construction begins. Additional updates will be provided on a bi-weekly basis, or as updates become available.
