Downtown Revitalization Project - Phase II

Project Update as of 09.17.2025

A construction meeting regarding the Downtown Revitalization Phase II Project was held on September 17^th with representatives of Ragle Construction, REA, VS Engineering, and City of Jasper.

Here is a summary of the discussion:

The intersection at 9^th and Main and the rest of Main Street is now completely OPEN for traffic.

MAIN Street

• Week of September 22^nd  – Mill and Pave 7^th- 9^th St.  Roadway will be closed for this work.  Striping to occur afterward.  3^rd- 5^th Street will be resurfaced in the travel lanes.

• Week of September 29^th  – Re-Stripe 3^rd-5^th and install remaining tent anchors.

• Week of October 6^th  – Cleanup and punch list items. 

• Week of October 13^th  – Install plantings, trees, and sod.  (weather dependent) 

Please note the new 4-way stop signs located at the intersection of 5^th & Main and 7^th & Main.

•   Scheduling is dependent on weather and materials.

•    Accessibility to all building entrances will be maintained for foot traffic throughout the project.

•   Meetings with contractor representatives are held bi-weekly once construction begins. Additional updates will be provided on a bi-weekly basis, or as updates become available.
