How do cultural conversations sparked by the culinary and creative arts renew community? David Hoppe, award winning journalist, playwright and essayist will lead this interactive workshop. David will trace the history of how creative entrepreneurs are using Indiana food and agricultural heritage to spark new life in communities today. His book “Food for Thought: An Indiana Harvest”, features regional food entrepreneurs, Alan Hanselman, Schnitzelbank Restaurant; Dave Fischer, Fischer Farms; and the Sisters of Saint Benedict, Simply Divine Bakery!

This program is presented as part of the Indiana Humanities “Crossroads: Change in Rural America.”
